Walter Scholtes

 Professor Walter Scholtes was a former music teacher at the girls' high school in Bistritz.

He was composer, arranger, conductor, choirmaster, active musician and inventor of a one-off en music printing process, or 'Notenstech' systems.

 In Canada he has been in the spotlight of musical activity, particularly at the Transylvania Club. His career is listed in the  Lexikon der Siebenbürger Sachsen. See links above.

Waldemar Scholtes
Waldemar Scholtes

   dr Waldemar Scholtes,Retired professor (German Studies) and church music director for German congregations, made it his task to bring northern Transylvanian literary works to the public. He publishes music of various genres under the name SCHOLTES EDITIONS. Otherwise he was active as a wind music conductor and choir director, and is currently a horn player in a municipal wind music and  choir member.

 As a longtime member of the Transylvania Klub, Kitchener, he was in the choir, in the wind music and active in the theater group. For his work on the book, Transylvanian Saxons in Canada,he received theGolden Badge of Honourder Landsmannschaft of Transylvanian Saxons in Canada.
